GTA Online patch, GTA Online Weekly Update september 22

Recently Grand Theft Auto 5 Online was going around the internet, experiencing some issues with safety for its players. After the game was having some exploit issues, Rockstar has confirmed it is safe to play again. Not only were hackers making playing the game extremely difficult, but they were also getting players banned and endangering players’ PCs.

When does it Snow in GTA Online 2022? Answered

With this new security patch, player accounts should no longer be available to the possibility of someone altering their accounts. During one of the basic updates Rockstar Games did, there was a change in the code that allowed players to do the following:

  • Change money balances
  • Alter RP levels (including up to 8,000)
  • Adding a Bad Sport Status to a player’s account
  • Altering other stats, which presumably include mission cooldowns and other popular features
  • Kicking people out of a lobby
  • Making a person crash

Now, going forward, it should once again be safe. With the update, the remote exploits should now be fixed where both crash/kick exploits are patched. It seems that players can now enjoy GTA 5 Online without stress, as new mods won’t be coming for a couple of weeks. Of course, the public servers will still have some player harassment in-game, but Invite Only Session will be completely safe once again.

This exploit for PC GTA players lasted about two weeks, which meant many players didn’t play the game during that time for fear of their accounts being banned or just the harassment of hackers, to begin with. Another problem the game experienced was players who weren’t invited to an Invite Only Session being able to force their way into it…but this was supposed to also be fixed in the PC update patch.

Hopefully, it will be a while before new exploits happen, but for now, you can safely return to playing GTA 5 Online with your friends or even solo without any problems. Many players who have enjoyed the game for a while know that after one thing seems to be fixed, another breaks or pops up, but we can now rest assured that the most harmful exploit GTA 5 Online has experienced is now fixed.
