Hades Delves Into The Underworld This Fall On Nintendo Switch

Earlier today, Nintendo showcased some exciting indie releases coming to the console, and Supergiant Games newest project made the cut. The team behind Pyre, Transitor and Bastion delve into the Underworld of Greek mythology in Hades.

Hades is a roguelike, dungeon crawler with an easy “pick up and play” gameplay style. This game is set to be worthy of the gods:

As the immortal Prince of the Underworld, you’ll wield the powers and mythic weapons of Olympus to break free from the clutches of the god of the dead himself, while growing stronger and unraveling more of the story with each unique escape attempt… The Olympians have your back! Meet Zeus, Athena, Poseidon, and many more, and choose from their dozens of powerful Boons that enhance your abilities. There are thousands of viable character builds to discover as you go.

Supergiant Games commented on their newest project in a recent press release:

We think Hades combines the best aspects of our past acclaimed titles, including the fast-paced action of Bastion, the rich atmosphere and depth of Transistor, and the character-driven storytelling of Pyre. It’s grown to become our biggest, most replayable game by a longshot… and it’s going to get even bigger and better when we exit Early Access and launch v1.0, complete with the true ending, and many other finishing touches.

Hades is now in Early Access on Steam and the Epic Games Store. As of this writing, an official release date for the Nintendo Switch or PC version has yet to be announced, but a release window has been set for the Fall. Steam has the game priced at $24.99.
