Hades has been showered with praise for everything from its story and character to its art style. One of its most well-received features was its deeply addictive and replayable gameplay. In your journey through the levels of the Underworld, Zagreus will come across items known as Titan Blood. These mysterious items are very important in improving your abilities and weapons as you try and try again to escape to the surface. This guide will show you where to get Titan Blood and what they are used for in Hades.
Where to Find Titan Blood
There are six ways of obtaining Titan Blood in Hades. The first one you will come across is given for defeating the first boss, Megaera, alongside and the final boss (spoilers), Hades. Beating these bosses for the first time will reward you with a Titan Blood. While you can’t farm them for the Blood, you can defeat them again with a different Infernal Arm (the game’s weapons) to score another. Defeating these two bosses for the first time with one of the weapons will grant you a Titan Blood as well. Once you have done this, you will need to turn your attention to the Heat system of Hades. The Heat system becomes available to you once you beat the game for the first time. It allows you to increase the difficulty in order to earn more rewards, which includes more Titan Blood for defeating the previously mentioned bosses with the six Infernal Arms. To use the Heat system, go to the Pact of Punishment, where you will find 20 different Heat levels to increase the difficulty.
Another way to get Titan Blood is to do some challenges that can be taken from the Fated List of Minor Prophecies. Here there will be certain missions like killing a number of enemies or using a certain weapon. Keep an eye out for missions with Titan Blood as rewards and get them done. Outside of that though, the other three ways of increasing your Titan Blood collection is through buying and trading. You are able to exchange Ambrosia, which can be gained from challenges as well as being the reward for beating Theseus and the Minotaur in the same way Titan Blood is rewarded for Meg and Hades, with the Wretched Broker for the Blood. The Broker can be found in Hades’ Lounge. Elsewhere, you can buy Titan Blood from Charon at his shop. It is expensive, so be really sure you want the Blood before buying it. Finally, you will want to go fishing in either the final boss area or Greece just beyond it until you find some sturgeons. These can be traded for Blood with the Head Chef.
What is the Blood Used for?
Titan Blood is primarily used in Hades to upgrade your Infernal Arms. Each of these six weapons receives different Aspects when they are upgraded, providing you with new abilities and styles of play. They are also used to purchase the Stygian Theme and Ranks. The theme can change some of the boons that you may encounter on your escape as well as the victory screen. These are mostly cosmetic collectibles but are needed for any Hades completionist.
Hades is out now for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
