There are a total of five pieces of equipment that can be found and used during your journey across the Zeta Halo in Halo Infinite, with the Threat Sensor being the best to help with gathering intel on your surroundings. This item emits a pulse that will both show enemies on your motion tracker in the bottom left corner as well as outline the enemies in red, allowing you to see them through walls for eight seconds. It is important to know how to use this equipment, so I’m here to explain how. This guide will show how to use the Threat Sensor in Halo Infinite.
How to Use the Threat Sensor in Halo Infinite
To change between your equipment on PC, the default input is the number keys. For example, you will need to hit “2” to switch from your equipped item to whichever one is bound to your 2 key. You can change what button your equipment is mapped to in the menu. Once you know which button the Threat Sensor is bound to, simply press it, and you will equip the item. If you are playing on a controller, you will need to press right on the D-pad to open a menu to switch your equipment. Once you have equipped the item, you will need to press either RB if you are on a controller or Q on a keyboard to deploy the Sensor. It will be shot from Master Chief’s wrist and stick to the first surface it comes in contact with, where it will begin to release its pulse.

Now that you know how to find and use the Threat Sensor, it is also essential to know that you can upgrade the equipment to be even more helpful in your fight against the Banished. Equipment can be upgraded by using the Spartan Cores that can be found around the map, with the Threat Sensor having four tiers to unlock to upgrade it fully. Seeker increases the detection radius of the device by 50% and costs one Spartan Core, while Operative will provide you with a second charge of the Senor for two Cores. Both Clairvoyant and Omniscience cost three Cores; the former reduces the Threat Sensor cooldown by 40%, and the latter adds uninterrupted enemy visibility and reveals the enemies’ health.
Halo Infinite is available now on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
