Amazon Studios is making an adaption of Harlan Coben’s book Shelter, starring Jaden Michael. The pilot has already finished production in Michael’s home state New Jersey. The Prime Video series adaptation will cover Coben’s first novel of the trilogy. Jaden Michael is playing the protagonist of the novels Mickey Bolitar. The first novel covers Mickey dealing with a mom in rehab, school, and an absent father. He finds comfort in another student until they go missing, and he has to figure out what happened to her and his father. Constance Zimmer, Adrian Greensmith, Abby Corrigan, Sage Linder, and Brian Altemus will also co-star in the Prime Video adaptation of Harlan Coben’s novel Shelter. MGM International Television Productions is co-producing the series with Amazon Studios. Harlan Coben, Rola Bauer, and Erik Barmack are executive producers. Charlotte Coben is a producer for the series.
Jaden Michael is a Rising Star
Jaden Michael gained notoriety from playing the child version of Colin Kaepernick in Ava DuVernay’s limited series Colin in Black & White. He also had a primary role in the Netflix comedy horror Vampires vs. the Bronx. Harlan Coben has over 75 million books in print worldwide, and thanks to Amazon Shelter will be a series. Jaden Michael will be a part of the Prime Video series adaptation and have a chance to further wow viewers. He has also been seen in Netflix’s Wonderstruck, and The Get Down. Fans of the Mickey Bolitar book series are anticipating the adaptation will look to Michael to fulfill Bolitar’s role well. Michael is no stranger to readying himself for a role. He fully dedicated himself to matching his look with Kaepernick for Colin in Black & White. He even learned American Sign Language to communicate with a deaf co-star for Wonderstruck.
