Warner Bros. Discovery might be axing shows left and right, especially on the animated side of things, but the animated series Harley Quinn is safe as it has been renewed for season 4. Behind the scenes, a new showrunner will come in with writer and consulting producer Sarah Peters. Justin Halpern and Patrick Schumacker were the previous showrunners.
The news for the Harley Quinn animated series is a good one for DC fans. This comes off the heels of Batgirl getting shelved and the killing of Batman: Caped Crusader from J.J. Abrams, Matt Reeves, and Bruce Timm. From what we know, other DC projects are moving forward within the DCEU, Reeves’ untitled Arkham Asylum and Penguin shows, and whatever James Gunn is cooking up, like Peacemaker season 2.

Kaley Cuoco (The Flight Attendant) voices Harley Quinn in the animated series. It follows her on a path of independence as she tries to move forward from her ex, The Joker (Alan Tudyk). With the help of her best friend Poison Ivy (Lake Bell), she manages to move forward and form her own crew, who become her new friends with Clayface (Tudyk), King Shark (Ron Funches), and Dr. Psycho (Tony Hale).
The cast of characters hosts all sorts of big names, from the cast of actors to the DC characters themselves. It features James Gordon (Christopher Meloni), Batman (Diedrich Bader), Lex Luther (Giancarlo Esposito), Penguin (Wayne Knight), and more. It also stars Jason Alexander as Sy Borgman, J.B. Smoove (Curb Your Enthusiasm) as Frank the Plant, and Matt Oberg (Veep) as Kite Man, who will get his own series.
The Harley Quinn animated series is in the middle of its third season. Its finale of the new territory between the clown and Ivy will conclude on September 15. It is available on HBO Max.
