After decades of starring in feature films, Harrison Ford is finally returning to television in a big way. According to a report from Deadline, Harrison Ford will star in the upcoming Apple TV+ series Shrinking. Ford will star opposite Jason Segel, who is set to lead the series.
Shrinking will be a 10-episode comedy series premiering on Apple’s streaming app, Apple TV+. The series is written and executive produced by Jason Segel, the co-creator and showrunner of Ted Lasso, Bill Lawrence, and writer and producer Brett Goldstein. It is also being produced by Warner Bros. Television.
Apple TV+’s Shrinking primarily follows Jason Segel’s character, a grieving therapist. From this, Segel’s character decides to break the rules of being a therapist and starts telling his clients exactly what he thinks of them, their feelings, and their situations. In doing so, Segel’s character ignores his training, ethics, and more, and he eventually finds himself making immense changes not only in their lives but also in his own.
Harrison Ford in Shrinking
Harrison Ford will play a significant role in Shrinking as Dr. Phil Rhodes. Unlike Segel’s character, Rhodes is reportedly a more down-to-earth but blunt character. Dr. Rhodes is also reported as a leading mind in the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and the owner of a successful practice. However, when Dr. Rhodes is diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, his life and legacy will be challenged in ways he was largely unprepared for.
Harrison Ford is a legend in the American movie industry. His credits include multiple Star Wars and Indiana Jones films and several action, sci-fi, and drama pictures. His most recent movie was 2020’s The Call of the Wild. However, audiences will soon see Ford as the whip-cracking Indiana Jones once more for yet another sequel set to release in 2023.
