The Game Awards 2021 is heating up, and with it, the night is sure to be full of exciting reveals for games old and new. One such debut was unveiled soon after the first reveal. The world premiere trailer for the brand action rogue-lite title, Have a Nice Death, has been officially unveiled at The Game Awards pre-show.
As seen in the description by Magic Design Studios, Have a Nice Death is a hand-drawn 2D action rogue-lite adventure game where you play as Death, the Founder, and CEO of Death Incorporated—a sprawling corporate empire that processes souls for the afterlife. Unfortunately for him, he’s finding himself experiencing a bit of burnout, not to mention his top executives, the Sorrows, who have been running rampant on Earth’s surface and blatantly ignoring company protocols. So to regain control of his company – and his sanity – he will need to traverse the various departments of Death Incorporated and remind his unruly subordinates who’s boss – or else.
“In this delightfully dark adventure, players will assume the role of Death, the overworked CEO of the mega-corporation responsible for processing souls — Death, Incorporated. The game is currently in development under our magic team with Sébastien Bénard (lead developer on Dead Cells) as a consultant. Millions got an exclusive first look at this charming rogue-lite earlier this evening at The Game Awards when our team revealed a brand-new announcement trailer starring Death himself”, the official blog post reads.Â
Have a Nice Death has been listed to launch in Early Access on Steam and alongside the brand-new Steam Deck console in March 2022, with a listed Early Access Price of $14.99. Additional platforms will be revealed at a later date, and you can WishList the game on Steam right now.
