HBO Max ordered a new cooking series entitled The Big Brunch. Dan Levy, known for his performance as David Rose on Schitt’s Creek, created and will host the series. New of the show follows news earlier today that Dan Levy’s father, Eugene Levy, will also be creating an unscripted travel show with Apple TV+. The series will follow local chefs competing in cooking competitions for a currently undisclosed prize. The show will also highlight each chef’s entrepreneurial dreams and personal stories. This news indicates that the money will likely help them start their dream business.
Dan Levy Speaks on HBO Max Series The Big Brunch
The Big Brunch creator Dan Levy made a statement about the show exclusive to Deadline:
Everybody has a friend, a family member, or a co-worker that is extraordinary at what they do, they just need a leg up so that their talents can be appreciated on a larger scale. Thanks to an almost obsessive love of food, I’ve been lucky enough to come across many of those people in the culinary world — friends working out of cafes or food trucks, revolutionizing the menus at local diners — those special humans who create communities around their cooking, hoping to take their skills to the next level. I created this show for them, the local culinary heroes of America who deserve a spotlight.”
