Sarita Choudhury has joined the cast of the potential HBO Max drama series The Colony. She has already signed on as executive producer for the project. Sonejuhi Sinha and Charlotte Rabate will executive produce and write for the HBO max one-hour drama series. The Colony series is based on the 2018 feature film Stray Dolls, which Sinha and Rabate wrote and produced. Sinha directed the film as well. For this project, Nicholas Weinstock, a producer for the AppleTV+ series Severance will be an executive producer through his company Invention Studios. The series will be a suspenseful and family-dark comedy. This show will explore the pressures and experiences of an immigrant family, including how they handle getting mixed up in crime. Loosely based on Stray Dolls, the series will be about an unlikely criminal that turns an American dream into perversion. So far, Sarita Choudhury is the first to join the cast.
