HDIVE has announced that it will begin streaming Cardfight Vanguard will+ Dress season 2 on January 13th. The anime will premiere on TV Aichi, TV Tokyo, the official Cardfight Vanguard Youtube channel, and Crunchyroll on January 14th.
Idol group Strawberry Prince will perform the season’s opening song, “Accelerate.” In addition, Strawberry Prince members Rinu and Satomi will voice the characters Reno Akai and Tenma Sakurai, respectively.
Will+ Dress season 2 will feature 16 fighters chosen from all around the country to compete against each other in a Deluxe tournament. OverDress, the first season of the anime, premiered in Japan in April 2021. It also debuted on the official Youtube channel as well. Funimation, Sentai Filmworks (via HDIVE), and Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired in Japan. The second season of the OverDress anime premiered on October 2021 and ended with 13 episodes.
Cardfight Vanguard will+ Dress Season 2: A Story Not Over Yet
The plot summary for the anime is described as follows;
After winning the “Deluxe” competition in Japan, Yuyu, Raika, and Tohya were invited to the United States, and they will be traveling around the country for exhibition matches.
Their opponents are all top finishers at Deluxe USA, which was also held in the United States. The three Japanese players, including Yuyu, continue to compete in a heated battle.
Meanwhile, Danji has traveled to the U.S. earlier while investigating the background of the Deluxe Tournament at Michiru’s request. He began to suspect a connection between a string of fighter disappearances.
The anime’s first season premiered on the same Japanese channels mentioned above. HDIVE also streamed the anime as it aired.
The English dub of the first and second seasons are available on the franchise’s Youtube channel. Quily launches a new manga based on the anime titled Cardfight Vanguard Youth Quake in June 2022.
A Cardfight Vanguard overDress anime seasons 3 and 4 were also confirmed at the Bushiroad TCG Strategy Presentation 2021 live stream event. July 2023 is the expected release date for the third season.
