Welcome to Hell Road VR, an adventurous virtual reality action title where your bike and your weapons are your best friends. Rev up your motorcycle engine in this fresh VR take on the zombie genre as you ride through hell on wheels by exterminating every undead freak in your path.
The attached trailer for Hell Road VR is accompanied by rock music and long snippets of zombie killing sequences. The player can equip from a range of melee and ranged weapons. You can dual-wield pistols, hold tight to a spear, rock out with a rocket launcher, or drive straight into mayhem with more body parts flying about. There also seems to be a point counter for the undead individuals you bring down along on your path. The more you play Hell Road VR, the more openness to customization will feel familiar to the player as they begin to turn their bike into a bloody death machine on two wheels.
Not much of the narrative is explored aside from the environments that are teased in the footage. Hell Road VR seems to delve into action-packed territory, with more of a focus on gearing up your motorbike to become one hell of an apocalyptic zombie slayer. Dimitri Casvigny, CEO of Travolab Replay, commented on the title’s release:
We wanted to share with you something exciting, something we have been working on for the last couple of years and now it is ready…This is a thrilling, fast paced and challenging, yet entertaining game.”
Players are recommended to play Hell Road VR in a seated position. The motorbike is steered by the player’s body movements whilst riding with both hands armed to the teeth. It’s being developed by Travolab Replay, and it can be purchased now via Steam for virtual reality. The game’s pricing is currently set at $19.99.
