tinyBuild is well known for making small games that, while not always being great critically, always have a high level of passion put in. No game from them though is more infamous than their biggest title Hello Neighbor. This stealth horror game captivated players on its release and proved a really fun stealth game that anyone could play. Today though, the team is ready to unveil the next chapter in the series. Hello Neighbor 2 releases on Xbox Series X and PC in 2021, taking what made the original special and elevating it beyond. The reveal was joined by a trailer which you can find below.
Hello Neighbor 2 takes place following the events of the first game. A mysterious entity is stalking you, looking to take you down at the first opportunity. Not only that, but the Neighbor has disappeared following your actions. It’s up to you to find out where he is, and the mysteries of this following entity if you are to survive the trip. What makes this enemy different from the neighbor is that he’s self-learning. Every move you make, the area you explore, and item you pick up gives it intel and allows it to adapt. You won’t want to consistently make the same moves, as it’ll look to exploit that to take you down.
You’ll do all this in the town of Raven Brooks, now completely open to the player, unlike the first game. While venturing out, the entity will stalk you and possibly try to take you down before you become a problem. When trying to get into its house though, you can expect it to endlessly defend its house trying to keep you out. Besides the AI and open-world, Hello Neighbor 2 promises to give more narrative exploration than ever before. Hello Neighbor 2 promises to be more exciting, exhilarating, and in-depth than before. If the game sounds interesting, an Alpha is now live for the game. You can download it from its official page here.
We’re excited to give it a go, but we’d love to hear your thoughts. Will Hello Neighbor 2 be truly better than its original? Any other tinyBuild games you enjoy? Let us know, and stay tuned at The Nerd Stash for all your news, reviews, and more!
