Just in time for Halloween, tinyBuild and Dynamic Pixel have teamed up to combine their games, Hello Neighbor and Bendy and the Ink Machine, to create Hello Bendy. The mod for both games was released earlier and are currently available to download via Steam.
The mod was announced via Bendy and the Ink Machine’s personal website with the following announcement.
“This Halloween, Joey Drew Studios has a new neighbor!
It’s time for a little spooky fun with our BATIM fans and fans of Hello Neighbor. For a limited time, the two games have crossed over.
Update your BATIM game for exciting new chills in ALL Chapters. And when you’re done wandering the studio, check out Hello Neighbor on Steam to see how our ink has spread next door… ;)”
tinyBuild also promoted the announcement on their own website, urging gamers to check out the latest build. The crossover affects both games, revealing secrets hidden around the cartoon-looking world of Bendy and changing the aesthetics of Hello Neighbor to the unique color scheme and lighting known to Bendy and the Ink Machine.
The video below details the changes made to Hello Neighbor, featuring a mostly yellow/black and white color scheme similar to Bendy, which currently sports the name Hello Bendy in Steam libraries.
To access the crossover simply download Hello Neighbor and it will be the default build for the game for everyone who pre-purchased the game. Similarly, updating, or simply purchasing it for the first time, Bendy and the Ink Machine will automatically give you the changes promised by the mod.
Hello Neighbor is available for purchase via both GOG and Steam, while Bendy and the Ink Machine is only available through Steam. For more information, be sure to check back to the site for updates, as well as all of your other Nerdy News and Needs!
