Gamescom has started! All gamers are right now watching all the things that we are about to get in the future. One of the early ones that we got is the Homeworld 3 trailer. This game, published by Gearbox, shows a lot of new gameplay elements that really show the evolution of the game. What started in 1999 is getting now a third game and players are excited. Without a doubt, everyone is even more eager to find out when the Homeworld 3 release date will be.
Homeworld 3 Trailer Shows New and Improved Features
The Homeworld franchise has a very long story. Maybe only known for people who are invested in the genre. The first game launched back in 1999 to critical success. It was an amazing take on the RTS genre which was now set in space. Back in the day, the game won over 50 game awards which is quite a milestone. Now, the Homeworld 3 trailer shows everything they’ve been working on to improve this beloved title. From new mechanics, new UI, and of course a deeper strategic battle system, it is definitely a game that players should get.

So far, the Homeworld 3 release date isn’t confirmed but we can expect it to arrive sometime around the first half of 2023. The developer of the game, Blackbird Interactive, has also shared more details about the game beyond what we saw in the Homeworld 3 trailer. They are bringing improved controls to make the strategy and exploration easier. Also, they’ve given details about the single-player campaign. Stating that it’ll take a long time after the golden age of galactic trade. But, that’s not everything. As with any other RTS game, it’ll feature a hefty multiplayer experience and a cooperative roguelike mode. So, if the new Homeworld 3 trailer has you excited, with good reason! This game will be a good one to keep an eye out for next year. We are still hoping for other announcements during this event. We already know that Xbox is planning to make a huge splash during Gamescom so, fingers crossed for more great games!
