HoYoverse seems to be knocking it out of the park as of late. Ever since Genshin Impact launched, the company has put out hit after hit and it doesn’t seem to be slowing down. When Tower of Fantasy launched, many thought it would be the Genshin Impact-killer. It wasn’t. In that month, the legendary gacha game released its Sumeru update that brought many players back to the title. Now, the company is working on its upcoming Honkai: Star Rail game which might be on its way to surpassing Genshin Impact’s pre-order record.
Honkai: Star Rail could beat Genshin Impact’s pre-order number with more than 10 million users
This information isn’t something bad for Genshin Impact. Due to that game being so successful, a lot of players started to follow HoYoverse’s work. That means that whenever a new game releases, like Honkai: Star Rail, pre-order numbers will rise faster. This is something that happens in the gaming industry and turns out great for developers. So, it might be safe to assume that the launch of Honkai: Star Rail will be successful and then it’s up to the company to keep players around.

Most players are enjoying the last closed beta right now while others are just waiting for the official release. We already know that the game won’t be the same as Genshin Impact. In this game, we’ll focus more on turn-based battles with gacha mechanics of course. This last mechanic is something that has become iconic in all games of the Chinese developer and it is a great way to make some dough. While we wait for the upcoming Honkai: Star Rail game to come out, make sure to pre-order or pre-register for it. This title seems to be a relaxing one that you can play at any time without investing too much time so it could be good to try it out.
