There are arguably many great pieces of gear you’ll get throughout Horizon: Forbidden West. Some are ideal at the beginning of the game, while others work best near the endgame portions. Then there are some that are more well-rounded. The Oseram Artificer, for instance. For many Horizon: Forbidden West players, Oseram Artificer, is the best overall armor. Thankfully, it’s one you can unlock early too to reap the benefits.
Oseram Artificer – The Best Armor in Horizon: Forbidden West
In Horizon: Forbidden West, Oseram Artificer is a Legendary, Warrior-type set. It not only buffs out your Valor Surge but also your Power Attack and your Resonator abilities (Buildup and Damage).
So, it’s clear why many players view it as among the best. The Oseram Artificer isn’t something you can just pick up or loot though. Instead, you must complete the following salvage contract: Keruf’s Salvage Unlimited.
The first thing to do is head to Barren Light to meet with Keruf. He’s the leader of the Savage Hunters. He’s with the first of the Hunters, Larend. From him, you’ll receive your first Salvage Contract. It’s highly specific, so be sure to read it thoroughly.
From there, you’re on your way to getting the best armor in Horizon: Forbidden West that pairs well with any cosmetic face paints you have on Aloy.
Complete Salvage Contracts
Throughout the Forbidden West are three more Salvage hunters you must reach. On your map, their icThey’ll give you Salvage Contracts that behave much the same as the one Larend gave you. Again, these machine parts are specific, so take note of each request before you set off on your hunt.
Return to Keruf – Receive Armor
Once you’re finished with the contracts, you can return to Barren Light. Head to the highlighted portion: “Keruf’s Salvage Legend” to find the man in question.
Although you’re told the parts you have aren’t worth anything, when combined, they do create something quite magnificent. So, you’ll finally craft and obtain the best armor in Horizon: Forbidden West.
Other Powerful Armor Sets in Horizon: Forbidden West
Besides the Oseram Artificer, there are other Legendary sets worth checking out. You can get these by trading 54 Arena Medals each.
Nora Thunder Warrior
The Nora Thunder Warrior is great for players that push a Hunter playstyle. It buffs out your Concentration and your stamina regeneration. It also puts Aloy back to her roots, so bonus points for that.
Carja Stalker Elite
Following that is the Carja Stalker Elite made for the Trapper. This armor is perfect for those of you that love traps and stealth. It improves your placement and crafting speed as well as trap limit.
Tenakth Vanquisher
The Tenakth Vanquisher is a Survivor piece meant to help with health, but it truly pales in comparison overall with the other Legendary armor sets in Horizon: Forbidden West.
