Bethesda will have one of the most important weekends of its history with its Starfield Direct. The company has had many successes – even Fallout 76 eventually found its legs after a rocky launch. Still, people have an idea of what they want from the company and have felt dissatisfied, directing criticism toward it for numerous years. Now, it can turn the tide by showing its first new IP in years with a proper showcase. We have seen gameplay before, but many questions are still up in the air. Here, we will break down when and how you can watch the Bethesda Starfield Direct.
How Fans Can Watch the Bethesda Starfield Direct
Xbox has detailed when and where you can watch its showcase, along with the Bethesda Starfield Direct. It will air approximately at 12 p.m. PT/3 p.m. ET on June 11 (Sunday). We don’t have a concrete time as the Xbox Showcase will run for about two hours, and this showcase of the upcoming RPG will be livestreamed after. So, it might be best to tune in early, depending on the timing of Xbox’s conference.
The Direct will be available on platforms like YouTube and Twitch. You can also watch it above, right here on The Nerd Stash!
While we have seen trailers and a chunk of gameplay of the sci-fi RPG, we still have many questions about it. The first gameplay footage drew No Man’s Sky comparisons that were sewn together with Bethesda’s RPG formula that people know from Fallout and Elder Scrolls. Hopefully, this time we should see plenty of gameplay, a presentation to deliver information, and more.
Both Xbox and Bethesda will have a lot to prove between the Starfield Direct and Games Showcase. Beyond criticism toward the companies, PlayStation and Summer Game Fest have had showcases already. After Xbox, we can expect Ubisoft and Capcom to show what has been in development, too. So, there will be plenty of conversations comparing each presentation to see if all of these hours of showcases were worth people’s time and which was the best.
Starfield will release on Xbox Series X|S and PC, including Game Pass, on September 6.
