Do you want to know how crafting works in Harvestella? Traveling through the colorful and vast world of Harvestella, you have to fight hundreds of monsters, visit dozens of locations and clear many dangerous dungeons. But still, sometimes you need to take a break and do more relaxing activities such as crafting. Like any other JRPG, Harvestella has a unique and well-implemented crafting system that you will learn one way or another as you progress in the game. But let’s talk about everything in order because our guide is here to tell you how crafting works in Harvestella.
How to Unlock Crafting in Harvestella
First of all, it is worth noting that you will not be able to craft from the beginning of the game. Like you unlock fishing and cooking, you’ll have to unlock crafting as you progress through the story, although you won’t have to go very far.
To unlock crafting in Harvestella, you only need to spend 2-3 days in the game. During this time, you will get to know some of the Lethe Village NPCs, learn how to work on your farm, and learn a little more about the game’s lore. Shortly, NPC Cres will tell you about the workbench in your home and how to use it.
In addition, you will have to unlock a couple of recipes to test the crafting system in practice. And the first thing you have to do is go to Njord Steppe to collect 10 Hard Stone. After that, you will receive the Hammer recipe and can craft it.

Once you have unlocked the workbench, have the recipe, and have collected the materials, you can start crafting. To do this, go to your home and interact with the workbench. On the left side of the screen, you can select one of the recipes available to you. At the same time, on the right side of the screen, you will see a description of the item and the materials needed to create it.
Once you’ve got everything you need, click the Create button. Also, note that crafting various items takes a different amount of time. Considering that many in-game events are timed to certain seasons and times of the day, you should be careful when starting crafting. Time skipping while crafting can help you by teleporting you to the future or prevent you from finding an item or creature as you miss the event.
Harvestella is now available for PC and Nintendo Switch.
