Do you want to know how to adopt animals in Fire Emblem Engage? If the answer is yes, then you’re at the right place. This is a tactical role-playing video game developed by Intelligent Systems and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch. It is an installment in the Fire Emblem series and was released on January 20, 2023. The game generally received positive reviews from critics, who praised the gameplay innovations, score, and visuals but felt that the story and social sim elements were underdeveloped compared to its predecessor, Fire Emblem: Three Houses. So, as seen above, the game is pretty fresh, and at some point, players may need guides. This guide will show you how to adopt animals in Fire Emblem Engage.
How to Adopt Animals in Fire Emblem Engage
Just like in real life, animals, people’s best friends, need adoption and care in the recently released Fire Emblem Engage. If you don’t have the slightest idea how to do this, don’t worry. Because adopting animals in the game is quite simple, and only a few steps need to be followed. There are several animals in the game that you can find after completing a battle. You can adopt and bring them back to the Somniel, a location visited between battles similar to Garreg Mach Monastery from Three Houses.
The ability to adopt animals is unlocked after completing the battle for Chapter 4, A Land in Bloom, and you are now ready to do this. To adopt animals, all you have to do is interact with them by pressing the A button. Then you’ll need to choose the Adopt option. That’s all. You have an animal now. But there’s something important at this point. You cannot get the chickens and cats at first. For this, you need to increase your level of relationship with various other countries in the game. To increase your relationship with other countries, you need to go to the cafe and interact with the Bulletin Board while in Somniel. Here you can donate resources and gold to the countries you’ve visited. If everything goes well, your relations with countries will increase, and you will be able to adopt different animals.
Gameplay is similar to previous games in the series, but with the addition of Emblem Rings that allow units to fight alongside the lords of previous Fire Emblem games. Engage is set on the continent of Elyos and features previous protagonists of the series that can be summoned with Emblem Rings. Alear, a divine dragon, is awoken from one thousand-year slumber to help defeat the Fell Dragon by gathering the Emblem Rings spread across Elyos.
