After you complete the Prologue and begin Act 1, you must complete Ill Tidings in Diablo 4. Ill Tidings is one of the first campaign quests you must do, and it will take you to the Cathedral of Light. Ill Tidings takes you to Reverend Mother Prava, who also has some more tasks for you to complete. Completing Ill Tidings in Diablo 4
After you travel to Kyovashad with Lorath Nahr, you’ll begin Ill Tidings shortly after. Ill Tidings in one of the first quests in Act 1: A Cold and Iron Faith. Your primary objective is to seek out the Cathedral of Light and warn them of Lilith and the danger she poses to Sanctuary. You must find allies to fight in this new war against the Daughter of Hatred.
First, travel to the Cathedral of Light. You can find this to the North, at the top portion of the city of Kyovashad. After you arrive, you’ll have to head inside to speak to Reverend Mother Prava. You can go inside by interacting with the door. Head inside and talk with Reverend Mother Prava, who will tell you to speak to Vigo after learning about Lilith and her plans and Ill Tidings.
As you approach, you will hear Reverend Mother Prava speaking to somebody. She tells him we were all born in sins as children of darkness, but the Father’s Light will be found as long as you keep your faith. This gives us some insight into what the Cathedral of Light is and how it works. After she finishes speaking to the other person and announces, “Let the Light of Inarius burn away Wickedness,” you can speak to her. She will tell you that she received word from one of her Knights, Vigo, that there has been a demon sighting nearby, solidifying your concern about Lilith.
Before you take off, remember to grab Vigo’s Knight’s report. Grabbing Vigo’s report will complete the Ill Tidings quest in Diablo 4. You will receive 800 Experience Points and 300 Good and unlock the Tarnished Luster quest.
