This Shrine’s emptiness can leave you puzzled; here’s how you can complete Sonapan Shrine, Missing Pathways, in Tears of the Kingdom. TotK‘s shrines often throw various objects that somehow come together in a puzzle. Solve that puzzle, and you’ll leave the Shrine with an extra treasure chest and one more Light of Blessing. However, in the case of Sonapan Shrine, there isn’t much to play with as soon as you enter. Hence its name — Missing Pathways. Just what are we meant to do to complete this Shrine if there’s nothing to grab?
How To Find Sonapan Shrine in Tears of the Kingdom
Sonapan Shrine is located east of Satori Mountain and west of Hyrule Field. The real reward of activating this Shrine is having instant access to the apple field in front of it. Every time a blood moon cutscene plays, the apple field will be replenished with regular and golden apples for your inventory.
How To Complete Missing Pathways
As you enter Sonapan Shrine, you’ll notice no elements to play with. Instead of a device-based puzzle, Sonapan Shrine goes for an ability-based approach. In this case, the ability you’re meant to exploit is Ascend. Make your way to the end of the first room. A platform will hang above you, so activate Link’s Ascend ability and head up.Â
On this second platform, you’ll notice a fixed metal cube to your left and a treasure chest next to it. Use Ultrahand to move the fixed metal cube to the right so it stands before the treasure chest. Again, you can try jumping all you like, but you won’t yet reach Sonapan Shrine Tears of the Kingdom’s treasure chest.

Instead, head to the right to spot a second metal cube, which is not fixed. Use Ultrahand to grab it and drop it on the platform above you. Now it’s time to position yourself below the platform and the metal cube and use Ascend. Since you’re a bit higher in Sonapan Shrine in Tears of the Kingdom, try jumping and gliding to the fixed metal cube with the treasure chest. That’s five free arrows for you. Ascend back to the metal cube again and then to the next floor.
There’s another metal cube to your left on the second floor. Grab it with Ultrahand and drop it at the end of the body of water, right against the wall. Now, head to where the metal cube used to be and trigger Ascend to head up this platform. Using this height to your advantage, glide to the metal cube you placed in the body of water. Finally, use Ascend one last time to reach the end of Sonapan Shrine in Tears of the Kingdom.
