Trainers struggling to deal with speedy pocket monsters that are hard to hit are recommended to use TM 006 Scary Face, a Technical Machine in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet that reduces an opponent’s Speed stat. Scary Face is a Normal-type Move that decreases an opposing Pokémon’s Speed by two stages, enabling the players’ combatants to land hits more easily and often. However, bear in mind that TM006 is ineffective against Ghost-type enemies and has a reduced effect on Rock- and Steel-type foes. Before players can craft TM006 Scary Face, they will need to acquire its recipe by first finding the TM out in the open world of Paldea.
Crafting TM006 Scary Face in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
The recipe for the Scary Face TM006 in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet can be found on a ridge path in the South Province (Area Five), where players can find an NPC named Hiker Nerea. Players can travel southeast of the Pokécenter at South Province (Area Three) to find this TM.

How to craft TM 047 Endure in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
After picking up the Scary Face TM006 in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, Trainers can craft its recipe at a Pokécenter’s TM Machine using the following materials:
- Stantler Hair ×3
- Sandile Claw ×3
- League Points ×400
Based on findings by Game8, Stantler Hair is dropped by Stantler, a Normal-type deer Pokémon that also roams the general vicinity where the Scary Face TM006 in the South Province (Area Five) can be found. In fact, it is very likely that players encountered a Stantler while on their way to the TM’s location. Accordingly, catching these stag pocket monsters or causing them to faint will yield Stantler Hair.
Next, Sandile Claw is a material dropped by Sandiles, Krokoroks, and Krookodiles. If players are looking for the fastest way to farm Sandile Claws for crafting the Scary Face TM 006 in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, the best spot would be the Sandile habitat in the Asado Desert. The western side of the Asado Desert serves as the primary spawn point of Sandiles in Paldea, making it an excellent location to find and farm Sandile Claws. Players must make sure they stay on the western side of the desert, as Sandile will not appear on the eastern sands.
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are available on the Nintendo Switch.
