During the Secret of the Sands side quest in God of War: Ragnarok, you’ll find a Hafgufa, a captured creature in the Dark Elf cave. It’s a pretty odd-looking large creature that resembles a jellyfish in some ways. It’s trying to sing, but it can’t because it’s stuck between the underground Dark Elf hives. To set the Hafgufa free so that it can sing again, you’ll have to remove all of its bindings so that it can escape. However, it isn’t the easiest task to accomplish. Keep reading to figure out what all you will need to do to destroy all Hafgufa bindings during the Secrets of the Sands quest in God of War: Ragnarok.
All Hafgufa Binding Locations in God of War: Ragnarok
Once you make your way inside the cave where the Hafgufa is trapped, you’ll want to head toward the center, then look to your left. You should see a pile of gold ore that’s hiding a red jar behind it. This jar can be destroyed and will break the ore so that the path is clear. From there, you’ll be able to get a better view of the Dark Elf hive that’s binding the Hafgufa. Once you clear that, move past the one blocked area and look to your right to find the God of War: Ragnarok Hafgufa bindings. Aim for the Twilight Stone behind the binding. You’ll want to make sure you hit the first binding before the second and third, and finally, throw your axe when its trail turns blue.
The last Hafgufa Binding in God of War: Ragnarok can be found back toward the center of the cave. You’ll have to head back to where you came into the cave for the first time. But this time, to find the Hafgufa binding, you’ll have to look up and to the left a bit. There will be another Twilight Stone there as well. Aim for the far left one, and make sure your Leviathan Axe will puncture the second one. Line up your shot and throw when the trail turns blue.
