Are you ready to evolve your Sandile into Krokorok in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet? Well, it is a straightforward process for this companion because you don’t need anything special. Even so, their evolution is not one that will happen for you anytime soon after you catch Sandile. Just follow our guide to learn what you need to do so you can get your hands on Krokorok.
Evolve Sandile into Krokorok in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
Sandile is a Ground/Dark-type Pokémon who joined the fray back in the 5th Generation. It certainly resembles a curious little crocodile as it walks on all fours. However, their evolution into Krokorok sees it transform into a bipedal creature.
So, how do we evolve Sandile into Krokorok in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet? You have to raise Sandile’s level to Level 29. Since Sandile can be encountered early on, a good way to reach this level is to keep them in your party.
If you find yourself struggling to reach the necessary level, then you can always give Sandile a little help. Have some picnics and use Meal Powers to boost their level. Also, remember to use Rare Candies and Exp Candies too. This can ensure that it won’t take you as long to reach this level.

Once you evolve Sandile into Krokorok, you can take advantage of the nice stat bump. Check out the differences in the pair in the table below:
Stat | Sandile | Krokork |
HP | 50 | 60 |
Attack | 72 | 82 |
Defense | 35 | 45 |
Special Attack | 35 | 45 |
Special Defense | 35 | 45 |
Speed | 65 | 74 |
It is not a glaring difference, but it is enough that it is noticeable in combat. Plus, this will get you even closer to reaching Sandile’s final evolution form in the game.
When you use Krokorok, remember that they will still maintain their Ground/Dark-type. So, this makes them resistant to Poison, Rock, and Dark-type moves. Meanwhile, they are immune to Electric and Psychic-type moves.
Of course, you can only evolve Sandile into Krokorok if you have caught the former first in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. To do so, you can search around the Asado Desert at any time.
