In Deep Rock Galactic, Alien Eggs (also known simply as eggs) is the primary objective of the Egg Hunt mode and the main objective of the Collect Eggs mission on Deep Dives. Since the Alien Eggs need to be carried using Bosco or with your hand. And since it is considered a heavy object, you gain a speed penalty and cannot do anything but throw flares and ride zip lines when carrying them. Although visually, the Eggs are easy to spot, you need to discover their locations first. Here’s how you can find and track those Alien Eggs in the co-op shooter Deep Rock Galactic.
How to Find Alien Eggs in Deep Rock Galactic
To locate the Eggs, first, you need to use the Terrain Scanner by pressing Tab or M key on a keyboard or Select on a controller. Their locations will appear as small red dots. But once you arrive at the indicated spots, the Alien Eggs will not be visible at first glance. Some sort of membrane covers them; thus, you need to break them with any kind of weapon.
After the outer membranes have been destroyed, you should be able to see a yellowish-green Egg that’s wrapped with some sort of organic veins. Extract the Egg using a Pickaxe or a Driller’s Drilling Tools. However, extracting an Egg will generate a swarm, indicated by a shaking ground and a distant Glyphid scream. Depending on your mission objective, there is a limit to the swarm triggers:
- Collect 4 Alien Eggs:
- Picking 1 of the 4 eggs will trigger a swarm.
- Primary Payout: 300 Credits, 900 XP.
- Secondary Payout: 200/250 Credits, 700 XP.
- Collect 6 Alien Eggs:
- Picking 2 of the 6 eggs will trigger a swarm.
- Primary Payout: 300 Credits, 900 XP.
- Secondary Payout: 200/250 Credits, 700 XP.
- Collect 8 Alien Eggs:
- Picking 3 of the 8 eggs will trigger a swarm.
- Primary Payout: 300 Credits, 900 XP.
- Secondary Payout: 200/250 Credits, 700 XP.
You must deposit the Alien Eggs into the M.U.L.E for it to count towards the objective. Press the red button on the M.U.L.E. to call in the Drop Pod. Survive for another 5 minutes and the door will be opened once the M.U.L.E has been secured.
