The Tactical Nuke has always been one of the main attractions for games in the Call of Duty franchise, and the new release of Warzone 2.0 is no exception. Being able to obliterate everyone on the map for an instant victory is a power fantasy that no combatant will disapprove of obtaining. On the other hand, Warzone 2.0 is quite different from titles like the recent Modern Warfare 2 remake, as the matches are based on various round-based or objective-oriented activities. Warzone 2.0 is centered around a Fortnite-style battle royale mode, so having the option to use a Tactical Nuke will be significantly more overpowered than other games.
Unlocking the Tactical Nuke in Warzone 2.0
To unlock the Tactical Nuke in Warzone 2.0, players must discover a special contract while in a match and complete its objective. The objective will typically be extremely challenging to complete, but once it has been fulfilled, the user will receive the ability to call in a Tactical Nuke in Warzone 2.0.  Â

How Does the Battle Pass Work in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0?
According to sources at Attack of the Fanboy, this “special contract objective” for the Tactical Nuke in Warzone 2.0 will scarcely spawn during a match, meaning that most players will have but a minute chance of obtaining it. Moreover, the contract’s randomized mission is said to be a feat of the highest difficulty, resulting in a task that very few combatants will be able to complete. While such an unreliable mechanic might discourage players from ever attempting to unlock the Tactical Nuke, its rarity is quite understandable since the game is a Battle Royale.
For reference, Modern Warfare 2 players must achieve a Killstreak of 30 without dying in order to obtain the Tactical Nuke or MGB option. Such a feat is a challenge but undoubtedly doable by those skilled enough in the game’s mechanics and map knowledge. Many fans likely would like this same requirement to be implemented for the Tactical Nuke in the latest Warzone release. However, such a decision would cause disruption for too many combatants, as the primary game mode is focused on survival, not achieving Killstreaks or capturing objectives.
Warzone 2.0 is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
