Valheim Mistlands update adds new important crafting materials to the popular Viking-themed survival game. Named Black Marble, this material allows you to create stronger armor and weapons as well as essential crafting stations and their upgrades. Here’s how you can get Black Marble in Valheim Mistlands update.
How to Get Black Marble in Valheim
In the Mistlands, you can actually find various buildings and columns made from Black Marble. However, you wouldn’t want to mine them from those locations because you will just anger the locals. Instead, you would want to collect Petrified Bones from large skeletons littered around the new Mistlands biome.
Those Petrified Bones are the source of Black Marble. To make finding them easier (and making it easier to spot incoming hostiles, too), you might want to bring a Wisp Light. You can also take Black Metals through Portals. So if you have found a good spot to farm them, just set one up, and you’ve got yourself a Black Marble farming location!
Now that you’ve found where to get Black Marbles in the Valheim Mistlands update, there’s another thing you need to prepare since using a normal Pickaxe won’t cut it. You will need to bring along Black Metal Pickaxe made from:
- Black Metal x20.
- Yggdrasil Wood x3.
Black Metals can be found in the Plains biome, from Chests or loot dropped by enemies. Yggdrasil Woods can be found in the Mistlands, but you would need a Black Metal Axe to harvest them first.
Obtaining a Black Marble will unlock the Black Forge and several new crafting recipes:
- Black Forge
- Black Forge Cooler (Black Forge upgrade)
- Rune Table (Galdr Table upgrade)
- Mortar and Pestle (Cauldron upgrade)
- Black Marble Bench
- Black Marble Throne
- Black Marble Table
