How to Get Girafarig Fur in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
The farming process of Girafarig Fur is not much different from any other crafting material. After all, to get Girafarig Fur in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, you must fight and defeat Girafarig and Farigiraf. This type of Pokémon is peaceful and kind, but if you challenge them, be prepared for fierce resistance. Thanks to the antenna horns on their heads, they can use powerful Psychic-type moves. So before you go hunting, gather a team with the best skill set.
Since Girafarig and Farigiraf are Psychic-type Pokémon, they are weak against Bug and Dark-type moves. These attacks deal Girafarig and Farigiraf 2x damage, so choose Pokemon that have trained these moves. At the same time, you definitely shouldn’t be using a Pokemon with Ghost-type moves. Girafarig and Farigiraf are immune to attacks of this type and will not take any damage.
As for the location of these Pokémon, everything is pretty simple. Girafarig lives in the western part of the game map, while Farigiraf lives in the center of the island of Paldea. These Pokemon are not very common, but walking around the following locations, you will find a few:
- Girafarig. The Great Crater of Paldea, West Province (Area Two).
- Farigiraf. The Great Crater of Paldea.

It’s worth noting that you don’t have to catch Pokémon to get their material. It is enough to win, and you will receive the material regardless of what you do with the Pokémon later. In addition, after each victory, you will receive several Girafarig Furs at once, so you will collect quite a lot relatively soon.
Once you have a few Girafarig Furs, collect a few other materials and use the TM Machine to craft a Psychic-type TM.
