How to Get Keys in Fortnite
To find keys to open vaults in Fortnite, you kind of have to let your luck lead the way. The keys drop as randomized loot that can be found anywhere. In one sense, this can be helpful because other players won’t know where to look for them. However, on the other hand, this makes it a bit more difficult for you to find them as well. Epic Games does state on their website that you have a decent chance at finding keys in the wild, so they probably drop frequently! Keep in mind when you’re trying to open a vault in Fortnite that some vaults actually require more than one key to open!

How to Open Vaults in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4
Finding each vault is the easy part. All you have to do is find and pick up a key, and you’re already well on your way to opening a vault in Fortnite. You see, once you’ve collected your first key, your minimap will be updated automatically. Now, it will show little lock symbols all over the map. Yep, you guessed it. These are all of the locations where you can open a vault in Fortnite.
To find out how many keys you will need is simple. The number of keys you need correlates directly to the number of keyholes shown on your map’s vault symbols. If there is only one hole, you need one key. If there are two, you will need two keys. Simple.
Once you make your way to the vault of your choice, you need to interact with it, and it will open! You will even get a new achievement for opening your first vault in Fortnite.
