One of the many natural materials that adventurers will need for crafting in Harvestella is Lumber, a “handy-sized log of wood.” Lumber is required for a host of items and structures, such as the Pen for housing Cluffowls, the Feed Maker for feeding livestock, and the Fermenting Barrel for making consumable beverages. Needless to say, the list of crafting blueprints that need Lumber will likely continue until the mid to endgame, meaning that knowing how to farm these logs of wood is essential for story progression. Accordingly, adventurers can read on to learn how they can get Lumber in Harvestella.Â
Where to Find Lumber in Harvestella
There are two ways to get Lumber in Harvestella. The first method is through Gathering, the mechanic that enables players to collect resources from a fixed node. Several trees in areas like Bird’s Eye Brae or Higan Canyon will have an interactive Gathering node near their trunks. Interacting with these points of interest will yield several stacks of Lumber.

Keep in mind that Lumber cannot be gathered from any tree in the world, as only the trees with Gathering node icons near them will produce resources. While not exactly categorized as “Gathering,” looting chests found about the world also can sometimes yield Lumber, according to Prima Games. Of course, looting a visible chest should be second nature for any adventurer in an RPG, but it is useful to know that this common resource in Harvestella can also be obtained from lootable containers.
Another source of Lumber in Harvestella is slaying a Goblin, a common monster players will first encounter in Higan Canyon. The Harvestella Wiki states that bipedal beastkins are weak to elements such as Lighting and Fire, so using abilities from the Mage Job might be effective when battling these mobs. Once defeated, Goblins have a chance of dropping Stellar Wheat Seeds and Lumber. Stellar Wheat Seeds can be used for farming Stellar Wheat on one’s farm, while Lumber is used for crafting recipes mentioned above. Therefore, as long as players interact with the plenteous Gathering nodes found in the world and slay every Goblin in sight, they should have no trouble collecting the Lumber they need for gameplay progression in Harvestella.
Harvestella is now available for PC and Nintendo Switch.
