The Magma Core is a Quest Item in WoW: Dragonflight that adventurers will need to complete the Level 60 Professions Quest, “Fuel for the Forge.” To get started on this quest, players must speak with Dhurrel, a Maruuk Centaur Trade Liaison who can be found on the east side of The Artisan’s Market in Valdrakken. As the quest’s title implies, players must collect Magma Cores to fuel the forges for the blacksmiths of Valdrakken. This objective is doubtless straightforward, but some adventurers might need help finding the enemies that drop the Quest Item in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight.
Finding Magma Cores in WoW: Dragonflight
According to the description for the “Fuel for the Forge” Professions Quest in WoW: Dragonflight, “Magma Cores are obtainable from most lava creatures in the Dragon Isles.” While this does not specify exactly which mobs drop the resource, it is not hard to infer which creatures should be hunted down.

According to community members at WoW Head, two of the best mobs to farm for Magma Cores in Dragonflight are the Lava Snails and Lava Slugs, which can be found in areas where there is running lava within The Waking Shores. Every kill is not guaranteed to drop a Core, but players will eventually collect the Quest Items they need as long as they are persistent to farm enough snails and slugs. If adventurers feel like these two mob types are not dropping the Cores at a less-than-optimal rate, then there are plenty of other creatures that can be farmed for Magma Cores, including Lava Bursters, Magmammoth Bulls, Lava Phoenixes, and Crust Gorgers. There are also named Elites that drop the Cores, such as Olphis the Molten, or Slurpo, the Incredible Snail.
Whatever the case, it is important that adventurers choose to farm in an area with few players so that they will not need to compete for Magma Core farming in WoW: Dragonflight. The best location would likely be the lava pools and rivers north of the Dragonscale Basecamp. Players can ride atop their Dragon or flying Mount to quickly reach the site and begin farming the lava creatures. Once players have collected ten Magma Cores, they can return to the quest giver and receive their reward.
