Weapons like the Nodachi, Karakuri Katana, and Bladed Wagasa are your main tool in hunting Wild Hearts‘ Kemono monsters. After reaching Chapter 2, you can craft and upgrade more weapons; and for that, you will need Ore. If you need some help finding the Ores, this Wild Hearts guide will tell you where to get them.
1. Mine Ore from Nodes
Ore is actually available all over Azuna, but both Ore and Corestone are Chapter 1 materials, so looking around the first two starting areas — Harugasumi Way and Natsukodachi Isle — is the best way to farm some Ores. According to Christine Mielke from Tryhardguides.com, specifically, you might want to look around Shipwreck Inlet and Lava Cavern on Natsukodachi Isle.
Make sure that you mine from the spiky, rocky orange mining nodes. That one will drop either Ore or Corestone. Meanwhile, the round mining node with an orange center will drop Small Crystal Ore instead.
2. Get Ore by Using Wild Hearts’ Dragon Karakuri Mechanic
Aside from gathering them with your own hands, you can also collect materials through the use of the Tsukumo Ore Shrine Dragon Karakuri, which is unlocked in Chapter 3. This Dragon Karakuri can be placed at a Camp or a Dragon Pit (the energy pool surrounded by red tendrils) and will automatically collect any local Ore types.
Build one at Harugasumi Way and Natsukodachi Isle and leave them for a few minutes. Once you get back to them and they read, “Collected: 5/5 Materials”, the Tsukumo Ore Shrines have harvested as many Ore and other local materials as they can. Sure, each Shrine can only give you five items at a time, but it’s better than nothing and will add up fast if you check it often.
3. Buy Ore from the Crimson Treasury Shop
Lastly, you should check the Crimson Treasury Shop often (the one in the middle of Minato town). Sometimes the Shop can sell Ore for 400 Coins as well as other important materials. If you can’t find one, try to complete a hunt and go back, the inventory might’ve rotated. The Crimson Treasury Shop is unlocked after you have defeated the Kingtusk Kemono.
