You can get pets in Diablo 4 in a couple of ways. However, you may not be happy with the options available. While it would be awesome to have access to a plethora of pets to follow you around in battle, it’s not exactly possible. You can get pets, but there aren’t many options, and each requires a bit of work or a specific build and class. Though, if you played in any of the Diablo 4 betas, there is one additional option for you. Keep reading to learn how to get pets in Diablo 4.
Getting Pets in Diablo 4
There are a few different pets you can get within the game. First of all, if you played in any of the betas and made it to a certain level, you can obtain the wolf cosmetic item. If you are playing as a necromancer, you can have skeletons follow you around. If you play as a Druid, you can have a spirit animal, which acts as a pet as well as an addition to your arsenal against monsters. Below, you can learn a bit more about each of these options when it comes to getting pets in Diablo 4.
Wolf Pet Cosmetic Item
Obtaining the Wolf Pet cosmetic item can be done if you’ve either played in any of the betas that ran for Diablo 4 before its official release. The open beta during the early access period for the game also counts for this. Once you get into the game, if you make it to level 20 with a single character, you will automatically be able to collect the Wolf Pet cosmetic item. It can be found within your inventory screen. Equip the item, and you will be able to view the Wolf riding around on your back while you make your way through Sanctuary.
Skeletons
To obtain a Skeleton, you will have to be playing as a Necromancer character. Once you have, you must obtain the Book of the Dead, allowing you to choose between 3 different minions you can spawn. The options are a Skeletal Mage, a Skeletal Warrior, and a Golem. These may not count as pets you can get in Diablo 4, but they act similarly.
Spirit Animals
To unlock Spirit Animals, you must be playing as a Druid. To unlock Spirit Animals, you will have to progress to level 15, then complete the quest that takes you to Scosglen. You can choose between a Deer, Eagle, Snake, and Wolf Spirit Animal. Each gives you specific bulls and can help you out in different ways. Choose the animal that fits your fighting style best!
