This quick guide shows how you can get the Magic Pot Summon in Crisis Core Reunion early in the game. In fact, you can get your hands on it on chapter 2.
The Magic Pot is quite a unique summon because rather than damaging the enemies on the battlefield, it instead bestows an item upon you. Of course, the quality of the item will depend on the level of the Summon.
You can get some nice loads from this, so it is best to add the magic part to your repertoire of summons as soon as possible. That way, you will maximize the number of gifts you will be given during the playthrough.
Preparation Steps: Before Getting the Magic Pot Summon in Crisis Core
Before trying to get the Magic Pot Summon in Crisis Core, I recommend getting the Tonberry Summon first. That will ensure you have the correct mission unlocked where Magic Pot is found.
You will also need a materia that is not optional. These include the following:
- Jump materia: can be attained by completing mission 613, which is called Scavenger hunt.
- Fiber materia: is found in mission 615 buried in the caverns. It’s in a treasure chest, but once you’ve looted it, you still complete the mission, or you won’t get to keep those chests and rewards.
- Gravity materia: you can get from completing missions eight to five that will reward you with a Makko stone. Take that to the materia researcher in the Shinra building, and it will be exchanged for the gravity materia.
- You will definitely already have Salt Twister at this point in the story.
Once you have those four materials equipped, you’re good to get the Magic Pot Summon in Crisis Core.

How to Get the Magic Pot Summon in Crisis Core
To get the Magic Pot Summon in Crisis Core, you want to jump into mission 10. This is the mission of Master Tonberry.
And you just want to run around to find the Magic Pot as a rare encounter.
It is a random encounter. There’s nothing special you need to do to spawn the Magic Pot in Crisis Core. Still, I run away from the Tonberry battles until you eventually spawn that Magic Pot.
The Magic Pot has millions of hit points, but don’t worry. You don’t need to damage it.
Instead, it will call out attacks based on those four materia you now have equipped, and you simply need to respond by hitting it with those four materia.
Once you’ve done this and all four materia have been cast, a Magic Pot will run away from the battle. From now on, the Magic Pot in Crisis Core will be added to the DMW.
Crisis Core is available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC
