Destiny 2 is one of the best online RPG first-person shooters available, and recently it received a new update bringing a bunch of new amazing stuff. One of the best and most addictive parts of Destiny 2 is grinding for different weapons with unique attributes that can be helpful in different situations. Thunderlord Exotic Catalyst is one of the best weapons in the game, and here is how to get it in Destiny 2.
How to Get Thunderlord Exotic Catalyst in Destiny 2
As part of the Season of Plunder, Thunderlord Exotic Catalyst has been added to the game, which random loot drops can only obtain. While this makes it hard to get and sheerly on luck, since it is still the beginning of the season, you have a higher chance of getting this weapon.
The only modes you can get Thunderlord Exotic Catalyst as a random loot drop are Crucible matches, Gambit matches, and Strik completions. All you have to do is play in one of these modes until you get the weapon.
If you like PvP matches, then you can also find Thunderlord Exotic Catalyst among the random loot drops in Rumble matches as well. Since they are shorter compared to other modes in the game, it is the most recommended.
If you have played Destiny 2 for some time, then you know the drop rate of Exotic Catalysts is higher at the beginning of each season compared to the end or middle of it.
Once you’ve got the Thunderlord Exotic, make sure to fully upgrade the weapon by getting 500 kills with it. This will unlock the Return Stroke perk which will be unlocked permanently.
With this perk, Thunderlord will partially reload itself from reserves each time it causes a lightning strike. While it might sound like lightning strikes will rarely happen, it is more often than you can imagine.
