Grass Pledge is a complex Special Grass-type Move in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet that deals 80 Power in damage with 100 Accuracy on a single target for a base PP of 10. Grass Pledge is capable of damaging opponents by 1/8 of their max HP for four turns if used in a duo battle with Fire Pledge, but Fire-type Pokémon will not be harmed. On the other hand, the effect differs if Grass Pledge is cast in a duo battle with Water Pledge. Instead of inflicting damage, this Special Grass-type Move will decrease the enemy’s Speed by 75% for a four-turn duration.
Finding and Crafting the Grass Pledge TM in Scarlet & Violet
If you are looking to get the Grass Pledge TM in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, you will need the ability to swim or fly for your Koraidon or Miraidon. The reason is that the location of the TM recipe is on a remote island in the East Paldean Sea, which is accessible by air or water but not by land.

According to sources at Game8, swimming is unlocked by defeating the Open Sky Titan: Bombirdier, and gliding is obtained by subduing Quaking Earth Titan: Great Tusk or Iron Treads. If you would like to fly to the island, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet content creator GameLoc suggests gliding from the cliff east of the East Province (Area One) Watchtower to land on the smaller of the two islands in the East Paldean Sea. Next, go to the southeastern palm tree on the larger island to find the Grass Pledge TM in Scarlet and Violet.
Alternatively, Game8 claims that Trainers can also unlock the Grass Pledge TM’s recipe by beating the Team Star Poison Crew in Scarlet and Violet. Whichever method you use to acquire this TM, the recipe will use the same materials below:
