You can get TM042 Night Shade in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet in three locations in Paldea Region. They are North of the Grand Olive Orchard, West of Area three of the East Province, and East of the Watchtower of Area four of the South Province.
North to the Grand Olive Orchard
- Go to the location shown on the above map.
- Head to the North of the Grand Olive Orchard and visit the three Ruins. The TM is located under the Right side Ruin.
West of Area three of the East Province
- Start from the Poke center and head to the West.
- Go inside the Tagtree Thicket and get to the Navi Squads’ Base of the Tagtree Thicket.
- Keep heading West and come to the tent in the far corner of Navi Squads’ Base. The TM is behind the tent under the cliff.
Watchtower of Area four of the South Province.
- Start from the Watch Tower and head East.
- Jump out from the cliff and head uphill between two hills once you land in the grassy area.
- Take the first path to the right. You will get the TM located between Two large trees.
