When in battle in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, the most powerful move doesn’t always win. Sometimes, all you need is something reliable that can strike multiple times. Rock Blast is that move. Only one Pokémon in the game knows it by default, while only a handful learns it from leveling up. So, you have to get TM076 if you want to teach Rock Blast to several companions in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

How to Get TM076 Rock Blast in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Rock Blast is not a new move in the franchise. Players learned it back during the 3rd Generation, and to this day, it can still come in handy. As its name implies, Rock Blast is a Rock-type move. The Pokémon will hurl rocks at the opponent, striking them anywhere between 2 to 5 times in a row. This is a great move if you need to whittle down an enemy’s HP.

As we mentioned, there are not many in the game that knows this move. To get Rock Blast more often in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, you must find TM076.

There is a rather easy way to unlock this TM: defeat Team Star Fire Crew. Once you do that, you will unlock access to craft TM076 at any Poké Center. By doing so, you can get as many as you’d like as long as you have the materials for it.

You can also find TM076 Rock Blast if you want to teach a companion immediately without crafting it. You can head just north of South Province (Area One) and check at the base of a cliff. We’ve highlighted the exact area in the image above.

Materials to Craft TM076 Rock Blast in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

With Rock Blast available at a Poké Center, it’s time for crafting.

To get TM076 Rock Blast, you need the following Pokémon Scarlet and Violet materials:

  • 3000 LP
  • x3 Chewtle Claw
  • x3 Nacli Salt

For Chewtle Claw, you can battle the Chewtle family. They’re plentiful in the game, thankfully enough. So, check these areas for them:

  • Cabo Poco
  • Cascarrafa
  • Casseroya Lake
  • Inlet Grotto
  • Los Platos
  • Medali
  • Montenevera
  • Poco Path
  • East Province (Areas One-Three)
  • South Province (Areas One-Six)
  • West Province (Areas One, Two)

Finally, you need Nacli Salt from the Nacli family. They are found in these areas:

  • Casseroya Lake
  • Glaseado Mountain
  • The Great Crater of Paldea
  • East Province (Areas One-Three)
  • North Province (Areas One-Three)
  • South Province (Areas One-Four, Six)
  • West Province (Areas One-Three)

And now you can craft TM076 Rock Blast for all the Pokémon that can learn it.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is available on Nintendo Switch.
