How to Transmog in Hogwarts Legacy

Hogwarts Legacy gives players plenty of agency when it comes to their character. From their hairstyle to their voice, there are plenty of ways you can make the MC truly yours. This plays over to the appearance of your gear too. But what if you don’t like how something looks, yet you need it for the stats? Well, the Transmog feature makes it easier than ever to look how you want to in Hogwarts Legacy and maintain your stats. Check out how to use the Transmog feature in our guide below.

How to Transmog in Hogwarts Legacy

There’s plenty to do in Hogwarts Legacy from making friends to flying around on a broom. Appearance is a major part too.

With numerous appearance options and available gear, you are bound to like the looks of one thing more than another. Maybe you really like those lower-level robes, but you’re at a point where you need much greater stats. You don’t have to sacrifice one over the other with the Transmog system.

In Hogwarts Legacy, Transmog essentially allows you to change the appearance of your gear without losing the stats of the gear you have equipped. It’s all cosmetic and perfect when it comes to having control over how your character looks. We’re in luck too because there is no limit to how many times you can Transmog in the game or any cost to use the feature.

You cannot do this right at the start of the game, however. Instead, you must wait until you finish the Prologue. This will grant you access to your gear.

So, how do you Transmog in Hogwarts Legacy? Well, you have to open the menu and select your gear as indicated in the image below:

From there, you want to hover over which gear you would like to change. Once you select it, you will see the option to “Change Appearance”. Select that and you will see the ability to Transmog that equipment to an appearance of your liking.

It is important to note that you can only change your gear to the appearance of the gear you have found in the game. So, if you see yourself lacking Transmog options, get on out there and discover new gear.

What’s cool about Hogwarts Legacy is that you can still Transmog to gear you have long sold. As long as you have discovered it, you can always change gear to that appearance.
