Final Fantasy XIV has some of its hardest content in the form of Extreme Trials. These are instances that you usually unlock after finishing the main story. While there is confusion between Raids, Alliance Raids, and Trials, here we’ll tell you a bit about them. Raids and Alliance Raids are some sort of side-story content. On the other hand, Trials are tied to the main story, and unlocking them requires you to follow the Main Scenario Quest. Usually, most of the trials we get in the story receive an Extreme version. This version ramps up the difficulty quite a bit and requires a lot of coordination and a good group. If you want to try your hand at them, today we tell you how to unlock Extreme Trials in Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker.

To unlock them, all you need to do is finish the content above and talk to the Wandering Minstrel in Old Sharlayan (x: 12.7, y: 14.3). Once you talk to him, the instances will unlock. You can access them via the Party Finder if the Trials are of the recent patch. Old Extreme Trials move to the Duty Finder and you get a pre-made group. So, if your item level is high enough, get ready to tackle these instances. While hard, they can be quite fun and they also give some nice rewards for those who finish them.
