First, it’s important to note that only Chun-Li can perform Wall Jump in Street Fighter, your custom character can unlock it. As you progress through the World Tour campaign, you will learn a bunch of fighting styles utilized by in-game fighters. One of the characters you will meet on your conquest is Chun-Li. This happens in Chapter 2 as she takes you under her wing. This is how your character unlocks Wall Jump in Street Fighter 6.

How to Wall Jump

Being fairly complicated, just follow these steps to perform the wall jump in Street Fighter 6:

  1. Move your character to either end of the stage, near the outer limits. Make sure you know which side of the stage you are on, as this will determine the direction of your inputs.
  2. Press the jump button to initiate the jump and propel yourself upward.
  3. While you are airborne, move your character toward the wall.
  4. Time your movement so that your character makes contact with the wall while still in mid-air. This contact is crucial for the wall jump to work in Street Fighter 6.
  5. As soon as your character touches the wall, press the jump button again and the opposite direction button to perform a wall jump. This second jump will allow you to push away from the wall and land on the other side of the stage.

Wall jump in Street Fighter 6, if performed successfully, will make you switch sides with your opponent. It makes it a great escape tactic. Moreover, it can be utilized when attacking as you will want to surprise your enemy and jump over him. This way, you can continue with your attacks and land a few hits before the fighter on the opposite side attempts to block them.

It might take a couple of tries to master this unique technique. While it looks easy, there are a bunch of things involved. This includes hitting the right buttons at the right time to being close enough to either end of the stage. Make sure your timing is right, and just press the opposite direction button from the side you are jumping while in mid-air. You will learn it rather quickly.

Street Fighter 6 is available on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
