Dire Wolf Digital is celebrating September by releasing hundreds of new cards to their online strategy card game Eternal. The new set, Flame of Xulta, will come with more than 200 cards plus new features for players to use in competition.
As with the previous expansion of Dark Frontier, players will be able to see card spoilers before the official release. However, those at PAX West are among the first to be able to see new cards. Everyone else has to wait to join in on the community spoilers by heading to the community store in September.
In the meantime, Dire Wolf did release one never before seen card on their website and a bit of information regarding the new set as well.
Felrauk the Outcast is just one of the hundreds of cards coming to Flame of Xulta. It’s a six cost primal and shadow card capable of being cast from the void if discarded. Felrauk also has the ability to force opponents to discard several cards from their deck as well.
Felrauk may have been cast out of Xulta for crimes against the Ancestors, but you can cast him out of your hand for fun and profit!”
Eternal will also be getting five brand new mechanics for cards as well. While these are unknown at this time, the development team did say they would release more information in the coming weeks.
Along with the addition of new cards, the expansion will also change how the expedition plays out. Xulta will replace The Empty Throne from Eternal’s organized play setting as well. As part of chapter 34 of Eternal, players will be able to use The Flame of Xulta in league play beginning September 1 through the 30.
Players who participate in the sealed league event will also be awarded a premium Xulta card back.
There is no official release date for the full set of Eternal: The Flame of Xulta.
