Uncover the eerie secrets behind a murder once believed to have been solved. In Guts United’s first official game for the PC, Nothing to Remember sets the cyber noir narrative right on your PC screen.
A murder case from the past has come back into the light. The killer was pronounced dead for so long, that the victimized families began to heal. But for some reason, the killer has come back, with an individual gone missing in the midst of this bizarre reemergence.
The game is entirely experienced through a messenger app. As an interactive thriller, the plot moves forward with critical decisions you can’t go back on. By playing as two different protagonists – Sarah and Jeremy – you’ll get to witness the mystery from two angles. It’s your responsibility to search for clues and keep notes intact. Lives are on the line, and one wrong move can lead to a dark ending. In addition to the imperative choices, you can end up with one of four distinctive endings.
Marina Kiseleva, Lead Writer for Nothing to Remember, had this to say regarding the project:
I’ve always been attracted to nightmares stemming from people’s inner fears. My inspiration came from Stephen King’s books and my favorite game, Silent Hill, where fictional monsters represent real human tragedies. I think in the process, the player can learn something new about themselves, and they may be surprised by their own behavior in unpredictable situations.”
Nothing to Remember Debut Trailer
Fair warning, the trailer for Nothing to Remember can be a little much for some sensitive folks. Not only does the game deal with cyber horror but the events can be very realistic (especially with the game’s messenger app design). The mature content description on the Steam page reads: “Some images in this game contain realistic images of mutilations and dead bodies.” So it’s best to tread lightly, but it doesn’t take away the fact that the game looks incredibly intriguing and immersive.
The game is actually a PC adaptation of Guts United’s mobile game, Memento (released back in December of 2020). Nothing to Remember will be their debut PC title. Players can expect the noir thriller to drop onto PC via Steam on July 29, 2021. You can wishlist the game now through here.
