Those who work in the service industry seem to have to deal with rude customers almost on a daily basis. It would appear that not even the Coldstone employees aren’t even safe. In a recently posted TikTok, viewers witnessed an extremely “Rude” woman giving this Illinois Coldstone worker a very hard time. The clip now has around 78K likes as well as 102 million views, as social media users can’t believe this woman is so unhappy about getting ice cream.
The TikTok starts off with the Coldstone employee greeting the woman who had just walked into the establishment. However, it is pretty clear right away that this isn’t going to be a very friendly interaction. The woman completely ignored the man’s very polite “Hello” as she got straight to business. The Illinois ice cream Karen then proceeds to make the man in the TikTok’s life a lot harder when she goes to order her frozen treat. Yet, the woman in the video doesn’t exactly know what she wants to order, and she is making that everyone’s problem.

The man filming the video remains very calm and patient throughout the entire ordeal, as many praise him in the TikTok’s comment section. “Food service is the most humbling experience ever,” wrote one. “Normalize calling people out for being rude,” stated another. “Not a single please or thank you,” pointed out one other commenter. Finally, one other’s comment read, “You handled this very well,” regarding the man keeping a level head.
As the TikTok continues, the Illinois woman continues to change her order, and just generally makes the employee’s day more difficult. The man in the video was so fed up with this woman’s behavior that the text on the screen says, “This customer almost made me quit my job.” This woman’s behavior is just completely unacceptable, and as a user pointed out in the comment section, she did not say please or thank you even one time.
As the TikTok comes to a close, the Illinois woman can be heard asking, “If I don’t like it, can I get it for free?” Unsurprisingly, the man immediately replies, “No.” As the employee hands over the ice cream, he then asks the woman if she needs anything else. Like clockwork, she makes the man scoop all the crumbs and leftover melted ice cream into the cup for her to eat.
Unfortunately, the video is cut off following that last demand. Hopefully, the Illinois Coldstone employee got a nice break after that order, and as for the woman, maybe she can work on her manners a little bit for next time.
