Interested in Injustice 2 but not sure if you’ll like it enough to ask for it for the holidays? The fine folks over at Warner Bros. have a deal for you. The game will be getting a free trial from December 14 through December 18. But what does this trial include, you ask?
But what does this trial include, you ask? Three chapters of the story mode will be available, as well as all other multiplayer and online modes, and every base character besides Brainiac. This means you can not only get a sneak peak of the game’s stellar story mode but also fool around with its large and varied cast from the annals of DC history. The online multiverse is a fantastic ladder climb that offers challenge and replayability and there are always combatants online looking for a good fight.
There’s also the hook of collecting new gear for each character. Completing levels and winning fights awards you loot boxes which house a variety of outfits and collectible gear. This adds a level of customization that is lacking in most fighting games.
With Injustice 2, the team at Netherrealm outdid themselves. The new style of fighting game they began developing with 2010’s Mortal Kombat, has been getting better with each new title, and Injustice 2 takes what Mortal Kombat X did and added a lot of great elements and Batman.
In a year riddled with great fighting games, Injustice 2 is great for beginners and pros alike. Want to jump in and beat up Captain Cold as the Flash? You can do that. Want to engage in heated competition with some incredibly talented fight game players online? There’s room for that too. It’s a varied community that continues to grow If you are even a little bit intrigued by this title, the free trial is your chance to sink your teeth into it.
The Injustice 2 free trial is running now on Xbox One and Ps4.
