The news coming out of Sony is that their first-person horror adventure game, Insomnis, is being released on PlayStation 5 on May 31st. This comes after the game became quite the success when it came out on PlayStation 4 and Steam in October last year. Insomnis has been developed as part of the PlayStation®Talents brand – a bludgeoning project from the mother company, Sony – and the game will have a physical edition that is being published by one of their loyal associates, Meridiem Games. This special physical edition will come with some lovely little cover art, a collection of playing cards, and a gorgeous concept artwork book – it really is the little things that are beloved by fans.
What is Insomnis all about?
If you don’t know anything about Insomnis, this first-person horror adventure game is set in a haunted mansion, where you must solve a collection of riddles and obscure puzzles to discover the unknown secrets of your main protagonist, Joe Castevet. Insomnis is a bit of a throwback to some of those classic horror titles that have entertained so many gamers over the years – this incredibly visual experience will feel like a vivid and harrowing dream. When Insomnis  is released on PlayStation 5, it will come with a bunch of new features; these include:
- 4K graphics and better textures
- Noticeably faster loading times
- Dynamic shadows
- DualSense haptic vibration compatibility
- DualSense 3D audio
