Ironheart is a new Marvel Studios series that will follow in the footsteps of other recent shows from them like Ms. Marvel, MoonKnight, and She-Hulk, at least, that’s what we’re all expecting. Ironheart, this new Marvel series, will be released this year, featuring Dominique Thorne back in her hero role that we saw in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Other actors that will be joining her are Anthony Ramos who will play The Hood and also Alden Ehrenreich whose character is unnamed yet. The star did break the silence about the project at Sundance and told DiscussingFilm “Ironheart is big, but it also feels very personal. And so I really appreciated that about it, and it was fun. It was nice to go back and do a big one like that.”
This Is Iron Man’s Legacy
There are many rumors going around about Robert Downey Jr returning as Iron Man through Phase 4 of the MCU, but with this show being Tony Stark’s legacy, it could be very likely we see an AI of him, but it isn’t for sure. Star actor Thorne did mention that the show is diverting a bit from the comic source material.
“They definitely are similar, but definitely two independent expressions of this beautiful mind,” Thorne said last November. “I think the answer to that is best left to the series next year, so that’s where you’ll have to come for the truthful answer to that question.”
“I do think in Riri’s creation of this suit, or pursuing a build like that, I think that there’s an inherent acknowledgment of what Tony Stark did by creating this suit of armor,” she added. “I think for someone as ambitious as Riri Williams, it’s without a doubt something that draws you in and begs your attention. As you can tell from the movie, that ambition will lead where it will lead and this time it’s led to her being in line with him by creating her very own suit of armor.” Ironheart doesn’t have a release date set yet, but it will be released in 2023.
