The 30th and final entry to the long-running officially licensed FIFA soccer series from Electronic Arts will be released on September 30 this year. However, some players that are lucky enough to be able to play the game early still can’t enjoy the full game since a number of them reported that they encountered connectivity problems. As with many other online games in the market, FIFA is also prone to server issues. Here’s how you can check whether if FIFA 23 server is down, as well as the condition of the game’s server status and its online functionality availability.
How to Check FIFA 23 Server Status
In case of any ongoing server issue for any EA-published games and/or services, when you open the EA Support Site, you will be greeted by a message seen in the picture above or the text below:
“In the meantime, you might not be able to connect to online modes or EA Play, buy games on the EA app or Origin, or log in to your account. We’re working hard to get you back in your game as soon as we can, so check @EAHelp on Twitter for updates.”
Once you get inside the support site, here’s how you can check FIFA 23‘s and other EA games’ server status:
- Search for FIFA 23 (or other game’s name) in the page’s search bar
- Press Enter
- Look for the Server Status text. The color of the text box and the circle beside it indicates:
- Green-colored box and circle: This indicates that FIFA 23 server is not down and running properly
- Yellow-colored box and circle: This indicates that players might be having trouble connecting to FIFA 23 server
- Red-colored box and circle: FIFA 23 server is currently down and inaccessible by all players, could also be undergoing maintenance
- If you click on the Server Status text, it will show you the list of all currently available or troubled FIFA 23 servers
- Keep in mind that (at the time of writing) the game hasn’t officially launched yet, so unlike FIFA 22 and other EA titles, the Server Status and icon indicator are yet to appear on the FIFA 23 support page
If the icon is green and you still have connectivity problems, there might be server trouble because of an outage or known issue. Visit the EA player community at Answers HQ or follow various FIFA 23 or EA-related official Twitter accounts such as the @EAHelp, @EASPORTSFIFA, or @EAFIFADIRECT for server updates and more details about server issues.
And on September 28, 2022 — just in time for FIFA 23 launch — all of EA’s social media channels announced their acknowledgments that there are issues and some FIFA 23 players might be unable to connect to their servers in the meantime.
We are investigating reports of some players being unable to connect to EA Servers and will provide an update in this thread when available.
