The Jackass film franchise’s fourth main installment is coming in less than a month! Unlike the previous title pattern in the franchise, which follows “Jackass (insert number),” this eagerly awaited film takes on a new approach. Instead of Jackass 4, the main title for the upcoming installment is ‘Jackass Forever’ which will have many guest stars. The core cast of the Jackass franchise will all be back on the big screen. Frontman Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, Wee Man, Preston Lacy, Chris Pontius, Dave England, and Danger Ehren are all the OG’s set to return.
One OG who won’t be returning to the franchise is Bam Margera. Margera appeared in the MTV show Jackass, along with all the past movies in the franchise. In February 2021, Bam Margera was fired from production and will not be in ‘Jackass Forever’ Another cast member missing for a sad reason is former Jackass member Ryan Dunn. Ryan Dunn’s tragic death was a significant loss for the Jackass family 11 years ago in 2011. The fourth main installment in the franchise will pay tribute to Dunn.
All Confirmed Cameos and Guest Stars for ‘Jackass Forever’
‘Jackass Forever’ is jam-packed with several celebrity guest appearances and cameos. From cameos to guest stars, we’re in for one hell of a ride. Starting off, we have a man who matches all the chaotic energy of Jackass, Eric Andre. Andre teamed up with writer/director of the Jackass franchise Jeff Tremaine to make Bad Trip in 2021. One of the greatest basketball players and iconic jack-of-all-trades celebrity Shaquille O’Neal is in the fourth Jackass and legendary skateboarder Tony Hawk. And of course, the iconic MTV celebrity, former skater, and daredevil of all things “Ridiculousness,” Rob Dyrdek, is confirmed to be back for Jackass too.
Other athletic superstars such as BMX rider Mat Hoffman, UFC heavyweight Francis Ngannou, former collegiate All-American, Olympian, and professional softball pitcher Danielle O’Toole are also confirmed to be in ‘Jackass Forever’ As far as musicians go, it’s confirmed from the trailer that both Machine Gun Kelly and Tyler, the Creator, have joined the cast. Other verified cast members include DJ Paul(from Jackass Two), stuntman Chris Raab, Finland’s four-man stunt group “The Dudesons,” along with Mythbusters‘ Tory Belleci.
The Future of Jackass
‘Jackass Forever’ is likely the last major motion picture we’ll get from the Jackass crew as they are getting older. In a GQ interview last May, Johnny Knoxville stated that Jackass Forever will be his final contribution to the Jackass franchise. As Knoxville said,
“You can only take so many chances before something irreversible happens.”
And with all the crazy – and I mean insane- stunts these guys pull off, Knoxville’s probably making the best decision. I’m sure the crew will keep on doing crazy hijinx and pranks forever, but the OG’s will probably pass down the physical dangers to a younger, newer generation of “Jackass-es.”
The final official trailer for ‘Jackass Forever’ came out yesterday, January 10, 2022. The wait is coming to an end with the ‘Jackass Forever‘ as the cast and guest stars hit theaters next month on February 4, 2022.
